Learn the Granddaddy of all Swing Dances in four-week series with Dallas' premiere Lindy Hop instructors, Elaine Hewlett and Don West. The Beginning Swing Class will over the basics of Swing and Lindy Hop. Once you have the basics under your belt, try the Intermediate Swing Class.
Classes meet every week for an hour. No partner is needed to join. Come in comfortable clothes and shoes. (Flip-flops and mules can be very difficult to dance in.)
Register in advance online with a credit card or just show up 15 minutes before the first class of the series and pay with a check or cash.

Group classes meet every week for an hour at Salon Pavadita, 2714 1/2 Greenville Ave., Dallas, Texas. MAP IT. Classes may be joined at any time, and are progressive. No partner is needed to join. Come in comfortable clothes and shoes. (Flip-flops and mules can be very difficult to dance in.)

Fast Lindy Class
Mondays (8-week series)

9 - 10 p.m. Intermediate/Advanced
Limited to 14 people.
Pre-registration required.
Cost is $50 for the five-week series per person.

Beginner course covers the basics of Rhumba, Cha Cha, Merengue and Salsa. Each series will include different moves. Intermediate course is designed for students who already know the basics of Rhumba, Salsa, Cha Cha and Merengue. Designed for couples preparing for their wedding, however all couples (including parents, Bridal parties or couples just wanting to learn how to dance) are welcome to join in. Couples will learn versatile, basic steps that can be used in Rumba, Fox Trot and Waltz, a few turns and a very easy dip. The workshops are scheduled about every four to six weeks. If you have a song (or songs) selected, please bring the CD with you to class.

Private Lessons

Private lessons allow you to get the most out of your time spent learning. You (or you and a partner) will work with Elaine Hewlett, a nationally recognized instructor and performer, in a relaxed and private atmosphere.

Price

Private lessons are $85 an hour per couple. If you purchase 4 private lessons, the cost is $75 per hour per couple. If you purchase 6 private lessons, the cost is $70 per hour per couple. Purchase 12 private lessons and the cost is only $64 per hour per couple!
